Privacy policy

1. Controller

Daniel Nicolas Vahl. The postal address and contact details are in the legal notice.

2. In short

Third Attempt sets no cookies, uses no tracking or analytics services and loads no content from third parties. Fonts, scripts, images, videos and data are all served from this domain. Whatever you enter into the calculators is processed only in your browser and is not sent to us.

3. Hosting and server log files

The site is served by Netlify, a service of Netlify, Inc., San Francisco, USA. When you visit, Netlify processes technically necessary data, in particular your IP address, the date and time of access, the address requested and details of your browser and operating system, and may store them in server log files in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. The site is delivered through Netlify's global server network, usually from the nearest location.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in providing the site securely and reliably. Data may be transferred to the USA in the process. Netlify is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. For details, see the Netlify Privacy Statement.

4. Storage in your browser

The calculator on the home page remembers the values you last entered in your browser's local storage (localStorage), so they are still there on your next visit. These values never leave your device. You can delete them at any time in your browser settings.

5. External links

Links to other websites, such as OpenPowerlifting, Wikimedia Commons or Instagram, are only loaded when you click them. From then on, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies.

6. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR), and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. As we do not store any personal data about visitors ourselves, requests about server log files should be addressed primarily to Netlify.

7. Data about athletes

The site shows competition results and names from the public OpenPowerlifting archive, and Instagram profiles only where OpenPowerlifting lists them. Names appear only for people who, according to the data, are adults today. If you do not want to be named, please get in touch using the contact details in the legal notice and we will remove the entry.
